Below is an article I posted on my personal blog www.therighttrackpov.blogspot.com
I began writing this blog Friday, October 29, as soon as news reports began following a potential terrorist threat to the United States which most likely originated from al- Qaeda (AQ) affiliates in Yemen. I decided to wait to… Continue

This Tuesday is possibly a decisive day in politics, and more important, a day for Ohioans to be heard. This is because all eyes will be on Ohio (even newspaper articles in South America where I am living have printed analysis on elections in Ohio). The old adage says, as goes Ohio so goes the country. So this Tuesday’s elections in Ohio may show us what to expect at all levels of… Continue

Next Tuesday, voters across the country have the opportunity to change America for the better. With the simple act of casting a ballot, you can help bring an end to the Democrat majority in Congress that wants to spend more, borrow more and take more control of the lives of the American people.
Just one vote can be critical. Ninety years ago, women’s suffrage passed by exactly one vote. In 1998, Harry Reid won re-election to the United States Senate by less than one tenth of one… Continue

Now that the trend is becoming clear, many pundits have begun to ask why this has become known as the Year of the Republican Woman. The answer is simple. Our female candidates, and the millions of Americans supporting them with their time, their money and their votes, know that we don’t need more government control of our lives. We don’t need big government to do what the people can and should do for themselves. … Continue

In the election cycle heading for a close on Tuesday, scores of Republican women stepped forward to run for office. At last count, there are 51 Republican women running for Congress to make their communities and states better places to work and raise their families.
For the past two years, the RNC Women’s Program has worked hard to find female Republican candidates who want to make a difference by running for office. We took unprecedented steps to bring thousands of female Republican… Continue

In less than two years in office, President Obama has enacted more public debt into law than was accumulated from George Washington’s first term in office through George W. Bush’s second. But he didn’t do it without help. Congress controls the… Continue

When Nancy Pelosi took up the gavel as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2007, the national debt stood
at about $8.6 trillion.
Now, as her tenure as House Speaker winds down with the election of a new Republican majority in Congress just more than a week away, the debt stands at more than $13.6 trillion. In little more than three years in command of the chamber of Congress charged with the power of… Continue

In 1998, Harry Reid won re-election to the United States Senate by just one tenth of one percent. Just 459 votes separated Reid from his Republican opponent. Two months later, Reid began his climb up the ranks of the Democrat leadership by becoming the Minority Whip of his caucus.
If anyone you know ever says his or her vote doesn’t matter, remind them of Harry Reid and the 1998 campaign. Just 459 votes made the difference between Harry Reid becoming the Senate Majority Leader who… Continue

In just 12 days, the American people will take to the polls with the opportunity to elect a new Republican majority to Congress, retire Harry Reid and end Nancy Pelosi’s tenure as Speaker of the House. But there is another countdown underway that could have a powerful effect on the American economy.
In 71 days, if the Democrat Congress continues to refuse to take action, the American people will suffer a $3 trillion tax hike
as the Bush tax cuts… Continue

In less than two weeks, pundits and media are predicting that a new Republican majority will be elected to the U.S. House and that even the U.S. Senate could change hands. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is in jeopardy, as is the tenure of Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the U.S. House.
Just yesterday, Politico reported
that 99 House seats held by Democrats are now in play, and the Cook Report predicted a GOP net gain of… Continue

Two weeks from today, the American people will take to the polls to elect a new Republican majority to Congress and put the brakes on the Obama and Pelosi agenda. Election Day can’t come soon enough.
The all time high in conservative enthusiasm is directly proportionate to how far off track President Obama and Speaker Pelosi have gone with their big government, big spending solutions to nearly every challenge we face.
The U.S. Treasury Department… Continue

Beginning January 1st, the millions of Americans who use Health Saving Accounts (HSA) will have to bring a doctor’s note if they try to buy over-the-counter medications with funds set aside in their HSA’s. Thanks to ObamaCare
and the IRS’s enforcement of new restrictions in the health reform law, any money taken from HSA accounts to pay for medical expenses bought… Continue

All across America, working families are trying to make do with less. The same holds true for seniors, many of whom are on fixed incomes and have seen the economic downturn of the past few years shrink the savings they worked a lifetime to set aside.
Now, it is becoming more and more clear that ObamaCare will cause out of pocket health care costs for millions of seniors to go even higher. A new analysis
by the actuary… Continue

During an interview
aboard Air Force Two last week, Vice President Joe Biden said Democrats aren’t running on Democrat legislative initiatives like ObamaCare and the economic stimulus because “it’s just too hard to explain.”
In fact, the opposite is true. The failures of ObamaCare and the stimulus package were all too easy to predict, and all too easily… Continue

A new poll
shows that a majority of American women would grade President Obama’s first two years in office as a failure and that his signature legislative achievements are driving women out of the Democrat party and causing them to take another look at GOP candidates.
According to the polling data, 56 percent of women consider ObamaCare a “failure,” against only 29 percent who view it as a success. The numbers are much… Continue

With just weeks to go until the November elections, President Obama and congressional Democrats are hitting the campaign trail in a last ditch effort to save their majority in Congress and with it the fate of the Obama agenda. With their poll numbers in free fall, and more and more pundits predicting a Republican takeover, Democrats are trying to convince the voters that they have been concerned about job creation this whole time, despite unemployment numbers that have lingered at nearly 10… Continue

It seems to me that if all new hires and rehires of the federal government were required to pay into Social Security, it might help solve the problem. This would include all those reelected and newly elected officials. This would also include all appointees. Make it effective on 12/30/2010.
