EXCELLENCE, LOVE OF NATION AND LIBERTY IS MY MOTTO

Since my teens, I have shot for excellence in the things that I do. If I cook a meal, it has got to be great. If I work, I do my very best. If I'm a friend, I try to be as best as I can for that person. If it's family, it's listening and also pushing loved ones to chin up, be brave and to excel. America rests on excellence, not on handouts, victim mentality or a sense of entitlement.

Off and on for twenty years, I have flown planes professionally. Those planes include small high performance aerobatic military aircraft. I was an instructor that was a tough and demanding one. I want excellent pilots, that's why. No easy street from my back seat. Heck no.

Between periods of flying I took care of my mom during her illness, and helped her with her computer business. I earned an MBA during this time.

Today, I no longer fly, but own and run my small businesses. I learned all about business ownership from my mom. I do a lot of camera work, film and also retail.

It was the freedom that business ownership gave my mom that allowed her to stay on her feet financially during her illness and her time in a wheelchair. We as a family are too proud to accept handouts.

Today I am concerned that new taxes could threaten small business margins, and squeeze them out. This is why I am being an activist against socialism. I want to fight for the right to own my own business, to create wealth and make my own decisions.

Also, I am for a strong military, the right to bear arms and do not buy into globalism at all. I want the USA to stay fully sovereign and to avoid treaties that would take that away. That's why I question global warming and the agenda attached to it.

I'm not 100 percent perfectly conservative though. I have a heart. I had been bullied because I fly planes (by civilians, military guys are professional about it.). And I am directly aware of the bullying that is going on against women in the military. That must stop. Women are great, smart, resilient and should serve with dignity and respect. They should be in fighters too.

I have a heart for gays too, and have many friends, employees and neighbors that are. I want to see an end to homophobia and religious attacks on gays. Most of them that I know are also business owners, and they too worry about high taxes.

My political views are generated by economic math, common sense and just plain business sense. It's not generated by religion. For me, that's a very personal and scared thing I'd rather keep to myself.

Less control by big government, big institutions, big companies - the better! We're all adults and can make our own decisions for ourselves.
