I just wanted to drop by and say that I very much enjoyed your comment on why you are a republican woman.  And you are absolutely correct in saying that our responsibilities and freedoms are God-given.  In my studies of government and the scriptures, I have noticed many parallels in how the United States government was initially set up with similar checks and balances of the Christian church in the early days.  John Locke's Second Treatise of Government also displays the relationship between our initial government and God.
