Biography
Meg attended public school from kindergarten through the 12th
grade. She met her husband, Griff, in college, and the young couple
happily headed west when he began his medical residency. In
California they planted their roots, and raised their two young
boys.
Meg’s career led her to positions at some of America’s best-known
companies, including Disney, Stride Rite, Hasbro and Procter &
Gamble. And in 1998 she joined a little company called eBay which
under her leadership grew from a 30-employee start-up into a global
leader in business with 15,000 employees. At eBay, Meg helped tens
of thousands of people create small businesses online.
For 30 years in business Meg managed complex organizations,
balanced budgets and was held accountable for meeting the bottom
line – the kind of leadership that California needs today.
In June, Meg won the Republican nomination by a commanding margin
and, if elected, will be California’s first female Governor.
Meg is running for Governor to build A New California – to create
jobs, cut government spending and fix education – because she
believes that in California, everything is still possible.
