Congresswoman Mary Fallin is the Republican nominee for governor of
Oklahoma and a lifelong conservative with over 19 years in public
office. First elected as a state representative in 1990, Fallin was
named “Legislator of the Year” for her work in the Oklahoma House
of Representatives. She went on to become the first woman and the
first Republican lieutenant governor in 1995, a position which she
held for 12 years. In 2006, Fallin was elected to the United States
Congress, where she championed conservative causes and fought
against the dangerous expansion of the federal government, higher
taxes and government waste.
For her work on behalf of the people of Oklahoma and her
conservative values, Fallin has been named a “Guardian of Small
Business,” a “Hero of the Taxpayer,” a “Friend of the Wildcatter”

Council with the “True Blue” award. Fallin has a lifelong score of
96 from the American Conservative Union, the highest of any
Congressman in the Oklahoma delegation. She has named job growth,
economic development, education and improving the quality of life
here in Oklahoma as priorities during her campaign for
Governor.
Mary lives in Edmond with her husband, Wade Christensen. They have
six children and are active members of Crossings Community Church.
