Biography
Nan Hayworth spent most of her career restoring vision. Now she’d like to do the same in Congress as the Representative for New York’s 19th Congressional District.

Nan met her husband, Scott, at Princeton, and after marrying in 1981 they went through Cornell University Medical College together. They moved to Mount Kisco in 1988, and in 1989 Nan started her own small business, a solo practice in ophthalmology. In 1996 she became a partner at the Mount Kisco Medical Group, retiring from full-time practice in 2005 to spend more time with sons Will and Jack. Both boys attended Bedford Central public schools. In 2007, Nan was recruited for a position as a vice president in Medical and Scientific Affairs at a large communications company in New York City.

With her knowledge of medicine and business, Nan observed the Congress led by Nancy Pelosi and in 2009 became determined to apply her experience, and her conviction that our Constitutional freedoms must be defended and promoted, to the crucial job of returning power to Americans burdened by an overwhelming federal government.
