Biography
Martha Roby is a native of Montgomery, Alabama, where she serves on the Montgomery City Council representing Council District Seven, the most socially and economically diverse council district in Montgomery.

Martha’s first experience in public service came when she was elected to the City Council in 2003.During her tenure on the Montgomery City Council, Martha has routinely opposed tax increases, fighting hard in 2008 alone to vote against five proposed tax increases and offering solutions to reduce government spending.

Martha is married to Riley Roby and they have two children, Margaret and George. The Robys are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where they are involved in various ministries.
