I'm a Republican in Minnesota running against a 16-yr Democrat incumbent, tax-and-spend, self-raising liberal (Rafael Ortega) for Ramsey County Commissioner. I truly need your help -

We FINALLY have a REAL opportunity to unseat this career politician, who's raised his own pay $23,000 in 36 mos and now makes $86k per year for a part-time job! I just won in the primary several weeks ago as the GOP-endorsed candidate.

I need your small help - need to do 2 mailings of 16,000+ each between now and November 2nd election at cost of $8,700 each - I have to raise this within the next 30 days...

please go to www.NobleForRamseyCounty.com

If you can give $10, $20, or whatever you're comfortable with, it will help (truly) make sure we cover this broad urban area and beat this guy! Always feel free to contact me at my personal information below.

Thank you,

Andy Noble

Veterans Day Event: Wednesday Nov. 11, 2009
At: (BWI) Baltimore/Washington International Airport
Volunteer Time: 7:00 pm.
To: All Volunteer’s & Supporter’s of our Troops:
Hosted by: Captain Kathy Thorp & Chip Flowers

Thank you for your interest in attending an Operation Welcome Home Maryland event. To check our schedule, go to: www.owhmd.org and click on event schedule. It tells you the time and date, and who is hosting the event.

Remember to always check our “Hotline” @ (410) 630-1555 on the day of the event, and about an hour before leaving for BWI Airport. Arrival times can change at the last minute.

When arriving at BWI Airport, park in the hourly parking garage, and park on Level 3-H, and bring in your parking ticket with you for validation.

Come to the International Baggage Claim area, at the far end of the Airport, on the lower level. This is where we greet the Troops.

We put up posters, banners, and flags, to welcome home the troops, and thank them for their service to our country.

We make up “goodie bags” that contains bottled water, snacks such as: chips, cookies, granola bars and small candy. The bag also contains a handmade “thank you” card, made by local school children, and church groups. We also include a printed card from Operation Welcome Home Maryland, thanking them, and their families for their service & sacrifice.

Any donations of single serving prepackaged snack foods are appreciated, and monetary donations are accepted as well, to support the program.

We take pictures at each event, and they can be viewed at our website: www.owhmd.org . Click on pictures, and the date of the event that you attended. You may also download these pictures.

Thank you, in advance for supporting our Troops. They are the “True American Heroes”

DescriptionNancy Hoyt for District 33A Delegate

You are cordially invited to my announcement party at Kaufmann’s Tavern on November 10th.

Why is Nancy running for Delegate – We can talk one-on-one on the 10th and work together to solve fundamental problems that face District 33A.

The economy is uncertain. As I write this, another 9 banks have failed and the last report was that another half million jobs were lost. In Maryland, as is the case elsewhere, Healthcare is a problem for some. Pensions have been lost. Home valuations drop each month. Companies
are failing. Education is expensive. Our environment is out of balance.

We need concrete solutions to these and other problems. I won't call them challenges. These are problems. Join me on the 10th and let’s begin to solve these problems and work together to get Maryland back on track.

Why Nancy is the right person to solve these problems – I am one of the few candidates who is addressing specific problems rather than resorting to political rhetoric and them-versus-us talk. I have spent my entire professional career as an advocate for people, patients, staff, and organizations; identifying and assessing physical and financial risk; producing cost-effective, quality-controlled projects, and placing the interests of people, employees, and the organization I serve, above my own interest.

Problems are not solved by bureaucrats, administrators, and managers, who have never done the work, sitting around in endless meetings talking about the problems.

Simply put, If we are to fix the economy, then we have to start with the small businesses that create the jobs. I am small business owner and listen to other small business owners every day. The business owners know how the dollars should flow in the economy and what steps to take to improve the economy and create jobs.

If government wants to improve access to healthcare, then listen to the doctors and not the insurance companies. The doctors provide the healthcare. The doctors know best what the patient needs.

Moving forward in the next decade, the government must prioritize the needs of the citizens, not the wants of the citizens. Come to Kaufmann’s on the 10th and let’s start the work.

Elect Nancy Hoyt for State Delegate in District 33A - You will send a voice to Annapolis of someone who has worked in Business, Healthcare, Public Health, National Security, Homeland Security, and Information Technology.

Elect Nancy Hoyt for State Delegate in District 33A - Send someone to Annapolis who can "Do the Math" and will be an advocate for the citizens and people like you who do the work.

Elect Nancy Hoyt For State Delegate in District 33A - For effective, honest representation in Annapolis.

Developing Mature Interpersonal Relationships:

Developing mature relatioships involves(1) tolerance and appreciation of differences(2) capacity for intimacy. Tolerance can be seen in both an intercultural and interpersonal context. At its heart is the ability to respond to people in their own right rather than as stereotypes. Respecting differences in close friends can generalize to acquaintances from other continents and cultures. Awareness, breadth of experience, openness, curiosity, and objectivity help students refine first impressions , reduce bias and ethocentrism, increase empathy and altruism, and enjoy diversity. In addition to greater tolerance, the capacity for healthy intimacy increases.
Developing mature relationships means not only freedom from narcissism, but also the ability to choose healthy relationships, and make lasting committments based on honesty, responsiveness, and unconditional regard.
Development means more indepth sharing and less clinging, more acceptance of flaws and appreciation of assets, more selectivity in choosing nurturing relationships, and more long-lasting relationships that endure through crises, distance, and separation.

I hope this reading will be helpful in cases of marital disputes, as this is one of the causes of poor quality of life. Also a burden on the society as unhealthy marriage relationships can predispose to conditions like heart diseases and cancer mainly breast cancer in women. There may be development of psychosocial derangement as well.A growing crisis like this needs satisfying relationships with lasting committments based on honesty , responsiveness and unconditional regard.
Hope this problem in the society will be considered as any other social problem that needs a solution.

Regards,
Aditi

A message we need to get out to the entire country is that the proposed Medicare and reimbursement cuts are dangerous on many counts-with these proposals seniors will loose their choice of provider because you can no longer go "out of plan", and the cut in rates will also lead to cuts in the number of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Many don't understand that the billing rates not only pay doctors salaries, but the fees that go to pay doctors and hospitals also pay the salaries of nurses, aides, the facility bills for equipment, utilities, etc -the ANA and the AMA are not representing the interests of doctors, nurses and patients-I was just at a convention last week where the heathcare professionals were livid at our professional organizations for ignoring these issues. The poorly publicized secret is that these organizations do NOT represent their members or the nation's health, they respresent the interests of the leadership who want a seat at the table. Please let everyone know how this will affect all aspects of their care, their parents care, and ultimately all our care because Medicare is such a large portion of the healthcare reimbursement system it will lead to fewer staff and options at all levels. Already hospitals all over the country are laying off nurses, LPNs, aides and other workers in anticipation of lower reimbursement rates. Late this summer when this all started Washington Hospital Center laid off all the remaining LPNs, Providence Hospital let go all of their nurse educators-many have hiring freezes on despite a nursing shortage,-this is going on all over the country in anticipation of getting less reimbursement.
