"You Asked and We Listened"

Yesterday, I had a great conversation with some of our Members of Congress about our terrific group of women candidates.  Our Members are looking forward to having more Republican women on the Hill speaking about issues that resonate with all Americans.

If you were chatting with our female candidates, what would you like to tell them and why?  Would you share your concerns for America’s future?  Or your solutions?

Sorry, but I am not thrilled with the California crop of women. Whittman is over, (running for Governor against Jerry Brown). She had an opportunity but blew it because she has been called out as a liar on immigration. In the primary she said she was tough on immigration, now she says the Arizona law is illegal and she will not do anything like it in California! Talk about pandering to the voters she won't get anyway, and turning off the rest of us who are few enough.
Fiorino has no positions and unbelievable as it is, will allow Boxer to win. I am sick that voters get taken in by those who spend alot of money, their own, on the primary and good candidates fall by the wayside. We constantly shoot ourselves when we have golden opportunities!
Also, Engel in Nevada will allow Reid to get in again. Her positions are so extreme that people will run from her, no matter how they feel about Reid and the Dems. Sorry to be so pessimistic but the facts are clear. I pray I am wrong!!!
Rochelle I totally agree with you. What a huge dissappointment Meg turned out to be. She's just another RINO. If you're a republican in CA you are a political orphan. We've been held hostage to the ultra left for YEARS in Sacremento! And now Brown will probably win and it will be the same if not worse. This wonderful golden state has been run into the ground.
Thank you. Finally, someone else who tells the truth rather than pats ourselves on the back because we nominated 2 women candidates. So what! We need candidates that stand for conservative values and are honest and honorable people themselves. People who care about the America our Founders envisioned and fought with their own blood and treasure to make. People who believe in Judeo Christian values and are not ashamed to say it.
I sure hope that you are wrong. We need to get Reid out. We need to get Pelosi out too.
I believe we would have to share both. Regardless, We would also have to learn. Listen and learn how
things are done there. More than what the media either focuses on or doesn't cover at all.
I would like to hear our government 101 without any spin or political round robin. Clear and to the point unlike the constant talking points that are expounded on over and over (only perhaps in different words) .
I'm tired of being treated like I'm stupid. The good, the bad and the ugly, even if I didn't agree with it all,
I could respect the one who came out with the facts and exposed the games straight up, regardless of party.

Yes, healthcare will lead to rationing because of....not, it could perhaps but we have a plan
Yes, the government is choosing not to seal the borders because....not, we are making efforts, improvements
Yes, this country is being divided on every level because....not, We are not taking sides and these things happen
Yes, people are still losing jobs because.......not, But we have saved more???
Yes, our soldiers are dieing over seas because........not, they need to be more sensitive to other cultures that are trying to kill them
And yes, we are giving away America a little at a time with the final goal to be.....Not, we are cultivating friendships and welcome all to our country.

Can we find a politician that won't play politics with my kids future?
Well said! If only we could get people to focus on the many issues that are moving our country further and further from our roots.
If I could sit and speak to any of these candidates I would ask them to do the following.
1. Hold the men who have run Washington for years responsible for the mess they have created. Including Obama.

2. Be strong and determined in their conversations, do not back down.

3. Tell them that American Women across are angry and disappointed in them and feel they have sold us out.

4. Speak about the issues that are on the minds of woman and men alike: JOBS, Immagration, National Security.

5. DON"T back down from the fight.
I would emphasize stronger and louder that the republican party is where family values lie and that women have significant roles to play in the party and in strengthening our nation through government service. Let's see their faces more in the media and hear them speaking up for traditional values.
I would definitely ask female candidates if they can change the normal Republican "communication" skills and misconceptions. To me, the main problem with Republicans is that we stand by "silent" about misconceptions that were created by the Democrats. For example, "Tax cuts for the rich!" - this has long been the mantra of the left. Republicans understand that this is untrue, however, democrats fall for it and use it when they vote. It's class warfare.

Now, we're discussing "keeping Bush tax cuts" -- Republicans could make a BIG statement here in showing that this has been a lie! President Bush lowered taxes for ALL AMERICANS. A president should be for all americans, this is the job! In fact, President Bush lowered the lowest tax rate from 15% to 10% and dropped others off the tax roles -- we are getting NO CREDIT for this concern for all people. Instead, we are represented as greedy rich Republicans. We fall prey to their constant brainwashing -- with NO RETORT. Why not?

JD Hayworth asked McCain why he didn't tell the american people about Obama "before" the election -- if people would have known, we would not have a President Obama who literally took over the position with the help of Acorn and the unions and George Soros. Why do the Republicans fail to emphasis these points.

Right now chelsea Clinton is getting married and staying in a beautiful home that is owned by George Soros. We know how powerful the Clintons are and they are still behind the scenes working with health care, corruption and power. Why do the Republicans never point out these very corrupt issues. Very soon, people will be thinking of Hillary as their savior, compared to Obama. Didn't she fail to declare campaign contributions of a million dollars more than once? Republicans stand by and say nothing ... she quietly pays the fine.

Republicans are not for immigration. Yes, we are. We're for legal immigration. How about raising the "actuall immigrationi policies" to open the argument and show that we are on the side of all americans. First of all, we are against illegal immigration BECAUSE WE DON'T JOBS OR SPACE FOR EXTRA PEOPLE. Plus, what are the legal immigration quotes from each country in the world? I understand that legal immigration numbers have been dropped. A person filing for immigration who might bring a valuable skill that we need, i.e. engineer or whatever -- should take precedence over other skills - if they are not needed. Immigrants from Mexico generally are in the farm industry -- but, aren't there numbers that we could use? Can't those workers enter seasonally on "guest passes." Can't we invite immigration that would enhance our country and tax base. Remember, when an illegal sends money home to Mexico, it is worth 7 times the amount -- $8 per hour becomes $56 per hour. A huge salary in Mexico. We are supporting the Mexican economy, which is why Calderone is PRO illegal immigration. If I were running as a candidate I would ask the government, how many LEGAL immigrants from Mexico do we accept annually, from Peru, from Brazil etc. How many legal immigrants from France, Italy, Ireland ...

Why did NO ONE ask President Obama what he meant when he said, "We are about to undergo the most massive rehaul of the american economy ever." Did anyone ask what he meant? Michele Obama declared" Barack is going to change America as quickly as he can, people won't like it and they will NEVER be able to go back -- but it will be good for them." This is what she said before he came into office. Why did NO ONE question this? Now we're amazed?

Republican candidate need to be careful that their words explain what republicans truly are. Republicans give a fishing pole to help a person feed themselves, Democrats give people fish that they need to replace daily ... in fact, democrats enslave! Republicans EMPOWER, Democrats ENSLAVE. This is what it is!

I think most Republicans sit out here totally frustrated .. wondering why do Republicans never speak up? Why do they never explain really what's happening ... we are confused and very disheartened. Republican communication needs to change. After all, we're the party that freed the slaves. We're the party of Martin Luther King - yet, we never make any claim to MLK as a republican. Why not? He is own by the democrats who voted against freeing the slaves. it's just amazing ... we'd better change. We're in trouble of losing our freedom and it may already be lost!
I also remember during one of the debates with McCain, when asked a question about what he would do as President with healthcare, he prefaced his rambling, lying answer with "well, as President I could do whatever I want to do....." Someone in the republican party should grow a p_ _ _ _ (sorry) and find that tape and use it during the campaigns.
Dear Linda ... how true. We are all so mad and frustrated! Someone coming along and speaking out and asking the questions would be voted in with a landslide.

Remember this one: Income redistribution, returning prosperity to those who it belongs to.

Why wouldn't anyone ask: Who are those people?

Now we find out they are unions, minorities, ACORN, other world governments, George Soros (who just got $2 billion to drill for oil in Brazil with our money), Kenya (who is getting $23 million to change their form of government to sharia law),

since my ancestors came here in 1642, I wanted to ask the President -- is the wealth being returned to my family or the american indian. The sad truth is that no one even asked!!!!!!!!
WOW...couldn't have said it any better myself! I married a man who was very liberal, and so was his family. When we actually talked about why and how the Democrats do what they do, his eyes were opened. We discussed in great lengths what was important to us, and lo and behold...he agrees with what Republicans stand for!

The trouble is, and has been, the fact that the Democrats create and NEED to maintain class warfare. And, the Republicans, just like you so eloquently stated, do not stand up and tell the people what we stand for!!

I am truly amazed that people, usually self proclaimed Democrats, claim that the Democrats are for the poor and the Republicans are for the rich. This was in fact, what my husband's children have been taught.

Great post!!
